How to cover your garden bed

12/6/2011

Using a heavy blanket to cover your plants, if it gets wet it will insulate the garden bed.

You can also use a light sheet and plastic to cover.  If you use a sheet you need to use plastic to insulate from the cold.  Remove promptly in the A.M. when the temperature has come up from freezing and the sun has come out, so that the plants don't cook under  the plastic.

Anchor them with something that can withstand the wind like bricks or rocks, etc.
